Lures

Mosquito Magnet emits carbon dioxide plum through catalytic action converting LPG propane to CO2, Heat and moisture. It uses specialised attractants to lure mosquitoes to the trap.

Dengue

Dengue Fever, also known as Breakbone , is primarily a mosquito-borne disease that is transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, a day-biting mosquito.Dengue’s symptoms include headache, high fever, muscle pain, join pain, rashes, etc. It can further lead to excessive bleeding in severe cases, which can be life threatening.

Malaria

Malaria is caused by the parasite Plasmodium. Major symptoms of Malaria are shivering, unstructured pimples on the skin, sweating, headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, muscle pain, bloody stools, etc. The body temperature might rises as high as 105 degree F, which is accompanied by severe headache and body aches.

Zika

The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, headache, joint pain, red eyes, and muscle pain. Zika is spread mostly by the bite of an infected mosquito. Prevent Zika by avoiding mosquito bites. Zika can cause birth defects and is linked to Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Yellow Fever

Yellow Fever is an acute disease of short duration which often causes death.The disease starts with high fever, headace, body aches, vomitting and sometimes jaundice( which gives patient yellow color. This is followed by internal hemorrhages ( bleeding and vomiting). Death may occur within 3 days of getting infected.

Chikungunya

Symptoms of Chikungunya usually appear within a week of infection. Fever and joint pain take over the body. Muscle pain, headache, fatigue and rash also appear in some cases. The prominent symptoms include excessive body pain, swelling in the joints. The body pain during Chikungunya is more severe than that in dengue cases.

Filariasis

Lymphatic Filariasis, also known as elephantiasis, is caused due to parasitic worms and spreads among humans through mosquito bites. This tropical and parasitic disease severely affects the lymph nodes and vessels. The common name is deduced from the fact that this disease leads to the swelling up of arms and legs to a great extent. The skin of the affected area turns thicker and harder, resembling that of an elephant.

West Nile

West Nile virus can cause death in humans and different bird species.  Most of the remaining individuals who become infected develop West Nile fever, which is associated with fevers, aches, and nausea.  more serious disease that produces high fever, neck stiffness, convulsions, muscle weakness, paralysis, and possibly death.

Japanese encephalitis

Most Japanese Encephalitis infections are mild (fever and headache) or without apparent symptoms, b The  gastrointestinal pain and vomiting may be the dominant initial symptoms. Severe disease is characterized by rapid onset of high fever, headache, neck stiffness, disorientation, coma, seizures, spastic paralysis and ultimately death. The case-fatality rate can be as high as 30% among those with disease symptoms.

Place the Mosquito Magnet o, 5–10 feet (2–3m) away from people and activity areas. Positioning the trap between mosquito breeding sites and the area you want to protect ensures maximum attraction and trapping efficiency.

The Mosquito Magnet's patented technology

converts propane (LPG) without any open flame into carbon dioxide (CO₂), closely mimicking human breath. The continuous release of CO₂, combined with heat and moisture, attracts mosquitoes from the surrounding area and guides them toward the trap.

Additional Attractants

A organic secondary attractant is blended with the CO₂ stream to closely replicate the scent of a human body and sweat . This significantly increases the trap's ability to attract biting female mosquitoes, boosting catch rates by up to 10 times compared to using CO₂ alone

Installation Guide

Installing your Durasun Mosquito Magnet correctly is essential for achieving maximum mosquito reduction. Follow these simple steps to ensure optimal performance.

Step 1 – Assemble the Unit

  1. Place the base on a flat surface.
  2. Unfold the support frame until it locks securely into position.
  3. Insert the support pole into the base.
  4. Mount the trap head firmly onto the support pole until it is fully seated.
  5. Install the battery (if applicable) and close the battery compartment securely.

  6. Step 2 – Install the Capture Net (Bug Bag)

    1. Open the trap compartment.
    2. Fully open the drawstring of the capture net.
    3. Attach the net securely to the mounting hooks.
    4. Close and lock the compartment.
    5. Place the LPG cylinder securely on the molded cylinder cradle.
    6. Connect the regulator hose to the cylinder valve.
    7. Hand-tighten the regulator only.
    8. Do not use tools.
    9. Slowly open the LPG cylinder valve.

    10. Important

      • Never open the valve rapidly.
      • Always check for gas leaks before operating.

      • Step 4 – Install the Mosquito Attractant

        1. Remove the attractant cartridge from its sealed packaging.
        2. Insert the recommended attractant (Octenol or Lurex®) into the designated holder.
        3. Replace the cover securely.

        Using the correct attractant significantly improves mosquito catch rates.

      • Step 5 – Position the Trap Correctly

        Proper placement is critical for maximum effectiveness.

        • Place the trap outdoors only.
        • Position it 5–10 feet (2–3 metres) away from people and seating areas.
        • Install between mosquito breeding areas and the area you wish to protect.
        • Place the unit in a shaded location whenever possible.
        • Keep the trap 5–6 feet from shrubs, hedges, or vegetation.
        • Avoid placing directly beside walls, fences, or large obstructions.
        • Do not position directly over sprinklers or standing water.
        • Always place the trap on firm, level ground.
